Anneliese Rothenberger
Anneliese Rothenberger was a German operatic soprano born in Mannheim who began her professional career in the 1940s and performed widely in opera and operetta across German-speaking theatres. She specialised in light lyric and colouratura roles in repertoire by Mozart and Richard Strauss and later extended her work into concert, lieder and television, contributing to post-war German vocal culture and the popularisation of operetta on broadcast media.
