Steven Wilson is an English musician and record producer who began his career in the late 1980s, founding the band Porcupine Tree and later developing a solo career spanning progressive rock, art rock, electronic and ambient music. His work combines complex progressive structures with melodic songwriting and electronic and ambient textures, evolving from psychedelic and art-rock roots into more concise song forms and immersive soundscapes, and he has also produced and remixed material for other artists.
