Pierre Mercure

Pierre Mercure was a Canadian composer, bassoonist and radio producer from Montreal who began his career in the 1940s and was associated with mid-20th-century contemporary classical music in Quebec. His output included orchestral, chamber and electroacoustic works that engaged with modernist techniques and the institutional growth of contemporary music in Quebec during the 1950s and 1960s.
