Dean Dixon

Dean Dixon was an American orchestral conductor from New York City who began his professional career in the mid-20th century and worked primarily in the classical repertoire. Facing racial barriers in the United States, he built an international career largely in Europe and Australia, conducting symphonic and operatic repertoire and promoting lesser-known works.
