Kyoko Kitamura

Kyoko Kitamura is a Japanese-born vocalist and composer based in New York City who began her career after relocating from Tokyo and works primarily in jazz, experimental and contemporary improvised music. Her work combines extended vocal techniques, composition and improvisation across settings ranging from small-ensemble jazz and avant-garde projects to chamber-influenced and interdisciplinary collaborations within the New York improvisational scene.
