Bill Sharpe is an English keyboardist and composer who began his professional career in the late 1970s and is best known for his work in jazz-funk, smooth jazz and pop as a principal member of the band Shakatak. His work blends electric piano and synthesiser-led jazz harmonies with funk and pop rhythms, and he has developed his sound through solo instrumental projects and collaborations that reflect the crossover tendencies of the British jazz-funk and contemporary jazz scenes.
