Federico Ughi

Federico Ughi is an Italian drummer and composer who began his career in the 1990s within the free jazz and free improvisation scenes and later relocated to New York to develop his practice. His work emphasises spontaneous group interaction, extended percussion techniques and experimental approaches that blend elements of jazz, noise and contemporary composition, and he has been active in the international improvised-music community.
