3rdEyeGirl are an American funk-rock trio assembled by Prince in Minneapolis in 2013 to serve as his backing band. Their music fused vintage funk, hard rock and contemporary R&B, and they recorded and toured with Prince, releasing a collaborative studio album in 2014 that highlighted an all-female instrumental trio within his projects and live shows.
