Robyn is a Swedish pop singer and songwriter from Stockholm who began her career in the mid-1990s and is associated with pop, synth-pop and electronic dance music. Her musical style combines candid, emotionally direct lyrics with electronic and club-oriented production, evolving from mainstream pop beginnings into more independent electro-pop and dance-pop directions and contributing to the development of contemporary Scandinavian and international pop music.
