Camilla de Rossi

Camilla de Rossi was an Italian Baroque composer active in the early 18th century, working primarily in sacred music and composing oratorios for Italian and imperial circles. Her music reflects late Italian Baroque practices with dramatic vocal writing, contrapuntal textures and operatic influences, and her activity illustrates the participation of women composers in ecclesiastical and courtly musical life.
