Les McCann
Les McCann is an American jazz pianist and vocalist from Lexington, Kentucky, who began his career in the 1950s and became associated with soul jazz, jazz-funk and rhythm and blues-influenced jazz. His style blends gospel, blues, soul and funk with piano-led grooves and electric keyboards, and his recordings and live performances in the 1960s and 1970s reflected an evolution that connected jazz with wider popular music and social currents of the era.
