Alex North

Alex North was an American composer from Chester, Pennsylvania, who began his professional career in the 1940s and worked primarily in film and concert music. His musical style combined elements of jazz, classical and popular music, and over the course of his career he incorporated modern harmonies and rhythmic devices into orchestral scoring that informed later practices in cinematic composition.
