Tom Robinson is an English singer-songwriter and bassist who emerged from the London pub-rock and punk scenes in the mid-1970s and formed the Tom Robinson Band in 1976, working primarily within rock and new wave genres. His music blends punk energy with folk and rock influences and has frequently engaged with social and political themes—particularly LGBT rights and anti-establishment issues—and he has since pursued solo projects, band collaborations, radio work and activism.
