Gene Quill

Gene Quill was an American jazz alto saxophonist who began his professional career in the late 1940s and worked primarily in bebop and cool jazz contexts. His playing featured a bright, incisive tone and rapid bebop phrasing that he applied in both small-group and big-band settings, and he recorded as a leader and as a sideman across the 1950s and 1960s.
