Samuel Adler

Samuel Adler is a German-born American composer, conductor and pedagogue who emigrated to the United States as a child and began his composing and teaching career in the mid-20th century, primarily working in contemporary classical music. His output spans orchestral, choral and chamber music that combines modernist techniques with lyrical elements, and he has had a long career as a teacher and promoter of contemporary classical music.
