Jonas Kaufmann

Jonas Kaufmann is a German operatic tenor born in Munich who trained at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München and began his professional career in the mid-1990s, specialising in opera and lieder repertoire. He is known for his versatility across German, Italian and French repertoire, gradually taking on more dramatic roles while maintaining an active concert and lieder recital schedule and performing regularly at leading international opera houses.
