Aziz Shokhakimov

Aziz Shokhakimov is an Uzbek conductor from Tashkent who began his professional career in Uzbekistan and subsequently worked with opera houses and orchestras in Europe within the classical music tradition. His conducting is characterised by expressive phrasing and attention to orchestral colour, and his programming has encompassed both standard Western repertoire and works reflecting Central Asian musical influences.
