Jimmy Ponder

Jimmy Ponder was an American jazz guitarist from Pittsburgh who began his professional career in the mid-1960s, performing on the jazz circuit and specialising in soul-jazz, hard bop and blues-influenced guitar. His playing blended bebop-derived lines with R&B and blues rhythms, he frequently led organ trios and recorded both as a leader and a sideman across a career that spanned several decades.
