Sỳlvia Geszty

Sylvia Geszty was a Hungarian-born German operatic colouratura soprano who studied at the Franz Liszt Academy in Budapest and began her professional career in the 1950s, performing in opera and concert repertoire. She specialised in agile colouratura roles, particularly in Mozart and Baroque works, and later combined performance with teaching at German conservatoires, contributing to vocal pedagogy and mid-20th-century opera practice.
