The Doors
The Doors are an American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1965, emerging from the city's 1960s music scene and associated with psychedelic rock and blues-rock. Their music combined blues-inflected rock, psychedelic textures and extended organ-driven arrangements, while lyrics drew on poetry, existential themes and the 1960s counterculture, contributing to debates over music, censorship and youth culture in that decade.
