Emanuel Feuermann

Emanuel Feuermann was an Austrian-born classical cellist, born in Kolomyia in 1902, who began performing publicly as a child and built a career as a soloist and chamber musician across Europe and later in the United States. His playing combined technical precision with lyrical phrasing, and through recordings, chamber collaborations and teaching he influenced approaches to cello repertoire and performance practice in the mid-20th century.
