Jacob Gade

Jacob Gade was a Danish violinist and composer from Vejle who began his career in the early 20th century, composing for theatre, dance ensembles and salon orchestras within classical and popular music traditions. Best known for his tango compositions, his work blended romantic melodic lines with dance rhythms and contributed to the popularisation of tango-influenced pieces in European theatre and film during the interwar decades.
