Gerd Zacher
Gerd Zacher was a German organist, composer and musicologist who began his career in the mid-20th century, specialising in contemporary and avant-garde classical music. He focused on extended techniques, unconventional notation and improvisation, producing both interpretations of contemporary repertoire and his own experimental compositions while engaging with questions of performance practice in new organ music.
