Má Vlast
Album by Bedřich Smetana & London Classical Players & Sir Roger Norrington
Má Vlast is a cycle of six symphonic poems by Czech composer Bedřich Smetana, composed between 1874 and 1879. The work blends Romantic orchestral textures with nationalistic themes drawing on Bohemian landscapes and history, and represents a major component of Smetana's late output and of the 19th-century Czech orchestral repertoire.
