Dr. John's Gumbo is the fifth studio album by American singer-songwriter Dr. John, released in 1972. Musically it draws on New Orleans R&B, jazz and funk with arrangements rooted in traditional Creole and Mardi Gras-influenced styles, representing a deliberate return to his native city's musical roots after his earlier psychedelic and experimental recordings.
