Extrapolation is the debut studio album by English jazz guitarist John McLaughlin, released in 1969. The album is rooted in post-bop jazz, has extended guitar solos with both acoustic and electric tones and complex rhythmic structures, and it was McLaughlin's first solo statement before his later move into electric jazz fusion.
