Jephtha

Jephtha is an oratorio by George Frideric Handel, first performed in 1752. The work is in the English oratorio tradition, with choral writing, solo arias, recitative and orchestral accompaniment, and it comes late in Handel's career as his final oratorio when he turned to sacred subjects and concentrated vocal writing.
