String Quartets
Album by Leoš Janáček & Bedřich Smetana & Takács Quartet
String Quartets are two chamber works by Czech composer Leoš Janáček, composed in 1923 and 1928. They show Janáček's late style, with folk-influenced motifs, jagged rhythms and concise harmonic language, and they reflect his move towards expressive, speech-like melodic writing in chamber music.
