Symphony No. 10 is the tenth symphony by Soviet composer Dmitri Shostakovich, completed and premiered in 1953. The four-movement orchestral work features stark, often brooding orchestration and chromatic tension and is widely discussed as a pivotal post-Stalin composition that marks a shift toward darker, more introspective writing in Shostakovich's output.
