Motets is a collection of sacred choral works by Johann Sebastian Bach, composed in the early 18th century (c. 1720s). They exemplify Baroque choral polyphony, employing contrapuntal and fugal writing, varied vocal forces and both a cappella and continuo textures, and they occupy a key position in Bach's sacred output and in the Baroque choral tradition.
