Harawi

Harawi is a song cycle for soprano and piano by French composer Olivier Messiaen, composed in 1945. It blends Messiaen's modernist harmonic language, complex rhythms, modes of limited transposition and early uses of colouristic and bird-inspired motifs, and marks a development in his mid-career exploration of vocal and mystical themes.
