Symphony No. 6 in A major is the sixth symphony by Austrian composer Anton Bruckner, composed in 1879. The work exemplifies Bruckner's late-Romantic orchestral language, with expansive structures, dense harmonic progressions and prominent brass writing, and it occupies a more concentrated, austere position within his symphonic output, representing a transitional stage between his earlier and later, more monumental symphonies.
