Triple Concerto

Album by Ludwig van Beethoven & Giuliano Carmignola & Sol Gabetta & Dejan Lazić & Kammerorchester Basel & Giovanni Antonini

The Triple Concerto in C major, Op. 56 is a concerto by German composer Ludwig van Beethoven, composed in 1803. Scored for violin, cello, piano and orchestra, it combines virtuosic solo writing with classical concerto forms and reflects Beethoven's transition into his middle period as he explored expanded textures and conversational interplay between soloists and ensemble.
