Symphony no. 9

Album by Franz Schubert & Münchner Philharmoniker & Sergiu Celibidache

Symphony No. 9 in C major is a symphony by Austrian composer Franz Schubert, composed in 1825–1826. The work is a large-scale Romantic-era orchestral composition that expands Classical forms through extended movements, sweeping melodies, rich harmonic progressions and varied orchestral textures, and it is one of the final mature works of Schubert's career, bridging Classical clarity and emerging Romantic expression.
