folklore is Taylor Swift’s eighth studio album, released in 2020 through Republic Records, created largely during the COVID-19 lockdown with primary collaborators Aaron Dessner and Jack Antonoff, and featuring Justin Vernon. It shifts towards indie folk, alternative and chamber pop textures with narrative, introspective themes and character-driven storytelling.
