Fratres

Album by Arvo Pärt & Tasmin Little & Martin Roscoe & Richard Studt & Bournemouth Sinfonietta

Fratres is a composition by Estonian composer Arvo Pärt, composed in 1977. The piece exemplifies Pärt's tintinnabuli technique, pairing spare, modal melodies with a steady, bell-like accompaniment and marking a turning point toward the spare, spiritually inflected minimalism that characterises much of his later work.
