String Quartets

Album by Bedřich Smetana & Quartetto Energie Nove

String Quartets is a collection of chamber works by Czech composer Bedřich Smetana, composed between 1876 and 1882. Rooted in Romantic-era harmonic language and Czech nationalist motifs, the quartets blend lyrical and dramatic string writing and mark Smetana's turn to more intimate, autobiographical forms within his later career.
