1st Symphony
Album by Anton Bruckner & Berliner Philharmoniker & Daniel Barenboim
Symphony No. 1 is the first numbered symphony by Austrian composer Anton Bruckner, composed in 1866. It combines early Romantic orchestration and classical symphonic forms with expansive movements, prominent brass sonorities and dense contrapuntal textures that point towards the monumental symphonic language Bruckner developed in his later works.

First released: 1998
