String Quartets, op. 33
Album by Joseph Haydn & Quatuor Terpsycordes
String Quartets, Op. 33 is a set of six string quartets by Austrian composer Joseph Haydn, composed in 1781. These Classical-era chamber works feature equal-part, conversational writing, playful rhythmic invention and motivic development, and mark a turning point in Haydn's career in which he expanded the expressive and structural possibilities of the string quartet.
