Symphony No. 2 is the second symphony by Austrian composer Anton Bruckner, completed in 1872. The work is a large-scale late-Romantic orchestral composition characterised by expansive brass chorales, dense polyphonic writing and dramatic structural contrasts, and it marks an important early step in Bruckner's symphonic development as he refined his monumental forms and orchestral palette.
