Requiem

Requiem is a choral composition by English composer John Rutter, completed in 1985. The work sets Latin liturgical texts alongside English poetry for choir and orchestra in a melodic choral-orchestral style that favours warm harmonies and transparent textures, and it followed earlier choral pieces that defined much of Rutter's output in sacred music.
