String Quintets
Album by Felix Mendelssohn & Mendelssohn String Quartet & Robert Mann
String Quintets is a set of chamber works by German composer Felix Mendelssohn, composed in 1826 and 1845. They are Romantic-era chamber pieces that use an extra viola to enrich inner voices and blend clear classical forms with broader harmonic language, and the two works date from Mendelssohn's early and mature periods respectively.
