Coronation Anthems is a set of four anthems composed by George Frideric Handel in 1727 for the coronation of King George II. They are Baroque sacred choral works scored for choir, soloists and orchestra, characterised by ceremonial fanfares, contrapuntal choruses and vivid orchestral colour, and they occupy a key place in Handel's English choral output and in the tradition of British ceremonial music.
