Spartacus Ballet Suite

Album by Aram Ilich Khachaturian

Spartacus is a ballet suite by Armenian composer Aram Khachaturian, composed in 1954. The music combines sweeping romantic orchestration, bold rhythmic drives and folkloric motifs, and the suite occupies an important place in Khachaturian's mid-career output and in the Soviet-era ballet repertoire.
