Scheherazade
Album by Nikolai Andreyevich Rimsky‐Korsakov
Scheherazade is a symphonic suite by Russian composer Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, composed in 1888. The four-movement work employs vivid orchestration, recurring solo violin and orchestral motifs to evoke Orientalist narratives drawn from The Arabian Nights, and it exemplifies Rimsky-Korsakov's development of orchestral colour within late 19th-century Russian symphonic writing.
