Symphony No. 10 is the tenth symphony by Austrian composer Gustav Mahler, composed in 1910–1911 and left unfinished at his death in 1911. Occupying a late-Romantic to early-modernist position in his output, the work displays intensely chromatic harmonies, expansive and often introspective orchestration and fragmentary material that points toward twentieth-century harmonic experimentation, and as his final composition it provides important insight into Mahler's late style while existing in various performing versions due to its unfinished state.
