Oblique

Oblique is an album by American vibraphonist Bobby Hutcherson, recorded in 1967 and released in 1979. The music is rooted in post-bop with avant-garde and modal elements, featuring angular melodies, shifting metres and an open approach to harmony, and it sits in Hutcherson's late 1960s period when he moved beyond his earlier hard bop work into more exploratory forms.
