Symphony #2 (1877)
Album by Anton Bruckner & Bruckner Orchester Linz & Markus Poschner
Symphony No. 2 (1877) is the second symphony by Austrian composer Anton Bruckner, presented in its 1877 revised form. The work employs late-Romantic orchestral language characterised by broad, organ-like textures, expansive thematic development and stark dynamic contrasts, and occupies an early and exploratory position in Bruckner's symphonic output that helped shape his later, larger-scale symphonies.
