Pénélope is an opera by French composer Gabriel Fauré, premiered in 1913. Written in a late-Romantic, lyric style with refined orchestration and modal harmonic language, it reflects Fauré's mature compositional voice and represents his only full-length opera, composed late in his career and situated within the tradition of French lyric opera.
