La Colombe is a one-act opéra-comique by French composer Charles Gounod, premiered in 1860. Musically it employs light, lyrical vocal writing and transparent orchestration typical of opéra-comique, and it represents a smaller, more intimate diversion in Gounod's output following his larger-scale works of the late 1850s.
